Apia port safety enhancement project

Commencing in January 2016, Apia port will undergo a port safety enhancement project funded by JICA. The project consists of:

  • Rehabilitation of aids to navigation;
  • Improving berthing and docking facilities;
  • Rehabilitation of terminal container yard; and
  • Completion of the project scheduled for September 2017. Picture1

Samoa Ports Authority to attend Cruise Shipping Conference 2015

Cruise Shipping Miami (16-19 March) has been the leading international exhibition and conference serving the cruise industry by bringing together buyers and suppliers for a week of networking, sourcing, and education. No other cruise event attracts such a broad range of industry players, with nearly 2,000 cruise line owners and operators from 66 companies in attendance in 2014.

Samoa Ports Authority will attend the event with STA as an exhibitor at Cruise Shipping Miami, to showcase Apia port and Samoa to the influential buyers and decision makers that attend each year.

Samoa Ports Authority will have access to highly regarded educational conference programs, gain admission to the tradeshow floor covering all sectors of the international cruise industry, and be invited to a wide variety of networking and social events.
